    Headteacher's Blog

Welcome to my blog page. Here you can find out a bit more information about what is happening at Beckfoot Thornton.

    Mocks, mocks and more mocks!

Year 11 students have recently completed a fortnight of mock GCSE exams and Year 13 students are completing theirs this week!

We have had great attendance at our year 11 intervention sessions after school, and combined with their hard work and revision we hope our students will excel.

Intervention sessions are ongoing and will be held during the Easter holidays too, details will be published shortly.

This week we have celebrated a belated World Book Day, the original day being hampered by the snow.

Our students and staff took part in a “Drop Everything And Read” (DEAR). It was fantastic to see so many students engrossed in their books!

Looking forward, next week is Sports Relief week. Beckfoot Thornton will be hosting a range of activities, including a penalty shoot-out on Tuesday, in order to raise money for charity.
